A family tour with stories and music through Bothmer Palace on International Museum Day
A strange triumvirate guides visitors through the chambers of Bothmer Palace. There is the somewhat stilted valet Gottlieb, the bricklayer Johann from nearby Klütz and William - an English cat from Downing Street in London. They all have their own view of the castle and its former inhabitants. The three narrators tell of grinning suns in the stucco of the castle, of the lives of the aristocratic inhabitants, of crooked floors and a strange stork with an arrow in its neck. Stories, songs and dances transport children and adults into the world of the early 18th century and Bothmer Castle.
A guided tour with puppeteer Jürgen Wicht and musician Ralf Gehler.
The restaurant and our castle store are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on International Museum Day.
