Classical Music

Concert on May 5, 2024, 6 p.m. in the Alte Gießerei (ballroom at Webasto) - works by Joseph Haydn, Anton von Webern and Franz Schubert

The musicians of the Vogler Quartet have a varied and interesting program in store, which offers every opportunity to experience their first-class quality and joy of playing, their precision and mastery in quartet playing.

The program begins with Joseph Haydn's classical String Quartet in G major op. 54 No. 1, followed by Anton von Webern's short "Five Movements for String Quartet" op. 5, which is atonal and brimming with extended playing techniques. Finally, one of the milestones of the string quartet literature will be performed: Franz Schubert's "Death and the Maiden", which is based on the pictorial motif of a young girl mercilessly confronted by death in the form of a skeleton. The music of this work constantly revolves around the theme of death and demands a high degree of technical skill, interpretation and interplay from the musicians.

All friends of chamber music are cordially invited!

Tickets at 19 and 22 EUR are available from the Kammerkonzertverein Neubrandenburg e.V. by phone: 0395 - 707 2152, by e-mail to kammerkonzertverein@web.de and at the box office (cash only).
