Anyone who regularly attends readings by Wladimir Kaminer always experiences the special feature of completely new and absolutely unknown stories: He reads from the latest book, but his hand luggage primarily contains brand-new, completely fresh 'reading material'. On some days, there are stories on stage that are only a few hours old. Wladimir is keen to entertain his guests with unpublished works - another thing that sets him apart from many writers currently touring Germany. His way of entertaining the audience has something to do with traveling. Kaminer picks up his guests with detailed descriptions of situations, lots of charm and intelligent humor and takes them on a special evening - he takes everyone present on a trip. The outcome is always uncertain, never predictable, but always unique. Wladimir Kaminer is definitely one of the special entertainers of our time.
