Opening of the exhibition
The artist Susanne Feldt is showing current and older works in the exhibition. Portraits of people, often her close ones but also strangers, play a major role in her work. Powerful colors, radiant, expressive. The artist says: "For me, a face is like a landscape." Capturing, interpreting and depicting the individual personality is Susanne Feldt's special skill. Her art is lively, created through direct encounters.
The vernissage in the presence of the artist will be accompanied by Cornelia Börngen on the cello. Journalist Ingmar Nehls will introduce the exhibition.

1951 born in Neustrelitz, from 1959 in Neubrandenburg
1967 - 1969 Apprenticeship as a technical draughtswoman in Klein Machnow
1969 - 1972 Studied at the Engineering School for Water Management, Magdeburg
1974 - 1977 Engineer in water management project planning in Dresden, while studying painting and graphics at the University of Fine Arts for three years in the evening
1977 - 1982 Studied at the Dresden University of Fine Arts
1977 and 1983 birth of daughters Susette and Marie
since 1982 Leading various painting and graphics courses, working as a restorer
since 1983 freelance artist in Neubrandenburg
1985 - 1990 Member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR
1991 - 2009 Museum educator at the Neubrandenburg Art Collection
since 1995 annual work stays of several weeks in Italy, study trips to Denmark, Poland, Turkey, Switzerland, Armenia, France, Guatemala, El Salvador
