Flour milling in early trough mills and baking of bread patties
This event goes far back into history. Already in the Stone Age 6000 years ago until the Migration Period 1600 years ago our ancestors used granite stones as grain mills. In the troughs of these trough mills, grain was ground into coarse flour by hand using grating stones. You can find out where the granite stones came from and which types of grain were first cultivated while grinding flour in one of the trough mills on the museum farm. Afterwards, you can shape your flour into a pancake with water and bake it into bread.
