The theater class presents a refreshing new production entitled "To the Emerald City with Typhoon" - a timeless classic by Alexander Volkov.
On Sunday, 21.04.2024, at 16:00, the new theater production of the Kreismusikschule "Carl Orff" Nordwestmecklenburg will celebrate its premiere at the Theater der Hanseatic City of Wismar. Under the title "To the Emerald City with Typhoon", the theater class brings a timeless classic by Alexander Volkov to the stage in a refreshing new production. Marina Pril is the director.
It tells the story of Elli, who is swept into a dream world by a storm and has to overcome numerous dangers to get back. The students perform a revised interpretation that retains the charm of the original, but at the same time surprises with new creative elements and immerses the audience in a magical atmosphere. "To the Emerald City with Typhoon" enchants with humorous texts, framed by song and dance interludes and special lighting and stage effects. Numerous musical scenes lend this fantastic family tale a harmonious tapestry of sound.
With performances such as "Die Zauberflöte", "Die neuen Abenteuer der Bremer Stadtmusikanten", "Bisschen viel Lärm um fast nichts", "Hexenwahl", "Jetzt wird's richtig paradisisch", "Es war einmal in Bagdad" and others, Marina Pril's drama class has become well-known beyond the district's borders.
