TIP FOR KIDS "Beach explorers wanted" (nature conservation center)
Equipped with a magnifying glass and a landing net, you will be out and about on the beach as a beach researcher, investigating the various creatures that can be found on the Baltic coast of Usedom. Seagulls, jellyfish, mussels and much more are waiting to be discovered and a wide variety of questions answered. Do moon jellyfish have eyes, where does the sand clam get its name from, are there high and low tides in the Baltic Sea and how old is amber really? As a "beach researcher", you will get to the bottom of the Baltic Sea together with the staff from the nature conservation center.
In addition, dune protection and many environmentally relevant aspects are also addressed and explained. The "3-minute garbage search challenge" not only gets the inquisitive group moving, but also - unfortunately - brings to light (far too) many things that don't belong on the beach.
We will provide you with a landing net and a magnifying glass on loan for researching at the event.
- Registration at 038371 55490 or info@karlshagen.de (name and cell phone number)
