Tilman Birr has written a modern picaresque novel, "Wie sind Sie hier reingekommen?" (How did you get in here?), in which he creates a highly comical Berlin panopticon of the early noughties. With his protagonist, he asks himself: Do we really have to take everyone seriously who acts seriously? At his hero's side is none other than Vicco von Bülow, the man we all know as "Loriot". A homage to the aimless drifter, a defense of comedy and a great tribute to Loriot, the artist of the century.
