Adult orchestra plays in the Schelfkirche
On Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 4 pm, the Schelfoniker invite you to this year's spring concert in the Schelfkirche.
The ensemble, under the direction of Matthias Ellinger, will once again present an attractive program. At the center of the afternoon is Franz Schubert's almost experimental 6th Symphony in C major, D 589. The work was composed between October 1817 and February 1818. It is a composition by Schubert that stands between the traditional and the breakthrough to his very own symphonic language. As a finale, listeners can look forward to the extremely humorous "Typewriter" by Leroy Anderson.
New players are always welcome in the Conservatory's adult orchestra - especially people who play the viola at the moment. Anyone who is interested can join directly. Rehearsals take place every Monday (except during school vacations) from 20:00 in the Brigitte Feldtmann Saal at Puschkinstraße 6.
