The second, long-awaited volume by author Horst Mauck is now finally available. He portrays village life at the end of the Second World War and in the post-war years in Mecklenburg with great insight and humor. He never loses sight of the endearing and special qualities of the people he meets.
Horst Mauck, born in 1943, grew up with two siblings in a small village on the edge of Mecklenburg Switzerland. The book is not an autobiography, but "...everything in it actually happened. All the people and places really exist. I concede minor deviations."
