Modular exhibition on the activities of the GDR State Security in the regions
The Stasi was an important instrument of power of the SED state party and had far-reaching powers as a secret police force, investigative agency and intelligence service.
How did the Stasi work in my region, what was its task? How and why did anyone come to be targeted by the Stasi? Based on these questions, the modular exhibition of the Stasi Records Archive "The Stasi" provides a concrete insight into the actions of the GDR secret police and shows numerous regional examples.
The exhibition can be viewed free of charge from April 10 up to and including May 3, 2024 at the Volkshochschule Stralsund on Mondays 8-12 am, Tuesdays 8-12 am and 1-6 pm, Thursdays 8-12 am and 1-4 pm as well as during course times.
