"THE RED THREAD - Every line leads to music" - this is the name of Katrin Harder's exhibition, which runs through all her works not only in terms of color but also thematically.
Katrin has been observing her surroundings since childhood and translates them into impressive drawings. From simple pencil sketches to watercolor, colored pencil, oil and chalk drawings, she has constantly developed her skills. Her love of portraits and the realistic depiction of people in particular has influenced her and led her to refine her technique.
But Katrin Harder did not lose her curiosity and began to draw caricatures to capture individual personalities in a humorous way. She also discovered the powerful effect of graffiti and tried her hand at this style.
Katrin has now been working as a media designer for print media for 25 years and loves her work. Above all, her proximity to music and her soft spot for it have always accompanied and inspired her. Because that is exactly what characterizes and holds her drawings together - her love of music.
A few glances at the works in her exhibition will reveal her style and the mixture of different techniques and musical influences. These works are an expression of precision, individuality, imagination and colorfulness and captivate the viewer in many different ways.
After the successful start of their first exhibition with 70 works in the Scheune Bollewick, a small and fine selection of 18 works will move on to Lebbin in the Hofcafé - Atelier and can be viewed there from March 16 to May 5.
