"Niels von der Leyen & Andreas Bock - The Boogie Woogie Duo " - under this "working title", the boogie woogie pianist & the blues drummer combine their respective musical interests into a joint project.
Boogie Woogie from classical to modern, from tradition to innovation, purely instrumental, full of joy and energy await the listener. The two musicians are now among the most sought-after in their genre and can be heard in concert throughout Europe.
Niels von der Leyen began playing the piano as a child.
The music of Vince Weber and Axel Zwingenberger led him to the decision to learn boogie woogie and blues on the piano as an autodidact.
Over the years, many different influences grew into his own style.
Andreas Bock, winner of the German Blues Award in 2015, is one of the most versatile blues drummers in our country. His expression is unique and captivating. Sometimes swinging with feeling, sometimes in a stoic groove and sometimes in unbridled ecstasy, he performs at his workplace.
Together they founded successful bands such as "The Boogiesoulmates" (with singer Alicia Emmi Berg) and "The Blues & Boogie Kings" (with guitarist Jan Hirte).
As "The Boogie Woogie Duo", the two professional musicians are completely focused on themselves, inspiring each other and driven by the energy of this lively music. Their concerts are exciting, whether classics or original compositions. Traditional purists and modern music lovers alike get their money's worth.
