Composer and author use their New York friends' apartment on Park Avenue to attract sponsors for their planned Broadway musical together with a pianist.
Their show, with the highest production costs of all time, is to present the entire history of the world in twelve hours: from the Big Bang to Woodstock. They have invited potential backers to their apartment and give them a 90-minute rehearsal of their singing and dancing skills
