Smoking volcanoes, deep seas and the big crash - what the rocks tell us
We encounter exciting rocks from all over the world. They are formed at high volcanic vents, at the bottom of vast seas or deep in the earth's crust. They can also be transformed under pressure and heat. In their fascinating diversity, they tell us a lot about their eventful history. Learn how you can get to the bottom of this history yourself using simple means. Using hammers, hydrochloric acid, magnifying glasses and microscopes, the tools of the geologist, we will "address" - as the geologist says - stones from different parts of the world. Together with a little knowledge of chemistry and physics, you can learn a lot about them. You are also welcome to bring your own stones. If the weather is suitable, we will also go to the beach together and collect new favorite objects.
