Carola Wiemers, editor of Briefwechsel reads as part of the event series "montags bei littera et cetera"
The writer Brigitte Reimann and Günter de Bruyn met for the first time in March. This publication is the first time that all the letters and postcards between Brigitte Reimann and Günter de Bruyn have been published and Carola Wiemers has placed them in the context of literary and contemporary history.
Carola Wiemers is a lecturer, literary critic and feature author. After studying German and Scandinavian studies, she worked as an editor in Helsinki and Stockholm. Works on Elfriede Jelinek, Irmtraud Morgner and Tomas Transrömer, among others. In 2020, the culinary story "Schmoren im Paradies" was published together with Kerstin Hensel. Carola Wiemers lives in Berlin.
