followed by a visit to the exhibition "Romanticism today?" as part of the 23rd Ahrenshoop Literature Days
What happens when love leaves? Olivia Kuderewski's novel "Haha Heartbreak" (Voland & Quist 2022) drags you at speed through valleys of tears, distraction maneuvers, unsuccessful dates, closeness-distance problems, cosmic orgasms and destruction fantasies, in short: a completely normal break-up. Here, a young female voice has her say, looking with increasing self-determination at her own experiences of modern romantic relationships and their failures - with all the mishaps, self-lies, triumphs and ridiculousness that love has to offer.
Olivia Kuderewski, born in 1989, studied comparative literature in Augsburg and Seville and literary writing in Hildesheim. She lives in Berlin and works as a freelance non-fiction editor, among other things. Her debut novel "Lux" was awarded the Klaus Michael Kühne Prize in 2021. Olivia Kuderewski is a fellow at Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop in 2024.
