Axel Petermann: "Cold Cases - Ein Profiler ermittelt" unsolved murders on the trail.
The presenter and case analyst of the ZDF series "Aufgeklärt - Spektakuläre Kriminalfälle" Axel Petermann presents his book.
A man is sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his rich aunt - but the investigation documents reveal hair-raising contradictions. The death of a young woman is declared as suicide, although incriminating evidence points to the violent ex-boyfriend ...
Axel Petermann uses his latest cases to show why common investigative methods often fail. As an outsider, he is able to investigate independently and makes a significant contribution to solving the complex crimes with "operative case analysis", profiling. He describes every single step of his work in a captivating and detailed way - we are right there with him as he tries to uncover the truth.
As head of a homicide unit in Bremen and deputy head of the violent crimes unit, Axel Petermann has handled more than 1,000 cases in which people died an unnatural death. In 2000, he began establishing the Operative Case Analysis Unit. As a lecturer in criminalistics, he has been teaching at various universities in Germany for many years. Since 2001, he has been an expert consultant for various "Tatort" formats (including Bremen, Münster, Cologne). In the meantime, he has published several books that became Spiegel bestsellers, such as the non-fiction book "Der Profiler" published in 2015.
