What a cheek! Here comes the rabbit, with nothing better to do than throw unkindness around again. Mauli, the mole, is indignant because this time it's his new friend, the good-natured hedgehog, who's not only supposed to have a big belly, but also legs that are far too short and crooked. Mauli is furious: if the hedgehog wants to, he's as fast as lightning! So how about a race between the rabbit and the hedgehog? If the long-eared hedgehog wins, he gets Mauli's beloved turnip field. If he loses, he has to be nice to everyone in future. The bet is on!
