ORCHESTRA CONCERT "THE LIGHTNESS OF BEING" CLASSICAL MUSIC! Chamber Symphony Berlin

Chamber Symphony Berlin

Works by Mozart, Bossi and Haydn
Piano: Matthias Kirschnereit
Conductor: Jürgen Bruns

Inspiring programs, music-making at the highest level - this is what the KAMMERSYMPHONIE BERLIN stands for. Classical music - experienced in a new way - these are the works of this entertaining and exciting concert, in which the extraordinary pianist Matthias Kirschnereit meets the Kammersymphonie for the first time.

Shared artistic visions and the impressions of the social upheavals in Berlin moved Jürgen Bruns and musician friends to found the Kammersymphonie in 1991. The ensemble's first programmatic focus was on rarely performed and rarely heard works of classical modernism, compositions of the early 20th century. Highly motivated and interested musicians from Berlin orchestras and the so-called independent scene played Honegger, Schreker and Milhaud together. The ensemble's first milestone was a concert with Jean Françaix in the Berlin Philharmonie in 1993. Curiosity about the unknown and the constant search for innovative program ideas quickly broadened the musical spectrum:
- Ostracized music - making the unheard audible again
- Crossover projects of all kinds, such as dance performance evenings with Gregor Seyffarth or stage music at the Deutsches Theater ("Mutter Courage", directed by Peter Zadek)
- Film music, e.g. with jazz musicians, henness and jazz musicians.e.g. with jazz musicians Henning Schmiedt and Atle Halstensen
-the "Concert at the Memorial" (open air at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe)

In addition to this now well-established innovative program, there is a continuous exploration of the classical repertoire. The Kammersymphonie has also presented itself as a high-quality partner for the major Berlin choirs for more than 20 years: the ensemble regularly accompanies masses, oratorios and choral concerts. The Kammersymphonie is currently expanding its musical horizons to the East, setting further programmatic accents. Music from the Balkans, Anatolia, Korean and other folk music come together in unique programs. Traditional folk instruments are also juxtaposed with classical instruments. The orchestra regularly tours Europe and Asia. In addition to a large number of CD releases, the orchestra has a long-standing collaboration with various radio stations, above all with Deutschlandradio Kultur, which is always interested in concert recordings.
