Folk pop in Low German. Handmade music with detailed arrangements and Low German lyrics.
With a compact band sound, the duo tours through the big cities and Niederøckelsdørfer of this world. Mire Buthmann writes the songs, sings and plays guitar. Malte Müller plays drums, sings backing vocals and plays the bass pedal. Die Tüdelband have proven that their Platt pop doesn't just inspire the North German lowlands in the Netherlands and Bavaria. In 2022, the duo represented the Low German language at the Liet International Festival, the "Eurovision Song Contest" for small and minority languages.
The concert begins on May 4 at 6 pm in the Great Hall of Stavenhagen Castle. Admission 25 euros. Pre-registration is requested (phone 039954 21072 or email literaturmuseum@stavenhagen.de).
The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
