Lecturers and soloists from the summer campus give concerts
Pierre-Laurent Aimard, one of the most renowned pianists of our time, sits at the piano in the Heiligen-Geist-Kirche in Wismar this evening. Together with the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock under the direction of Marcus Bosch, Aimard will present an interpretation of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2 that is characterized by clarity, curiosity and structure, demonstrating his versatility in dealing with the classical repertoire.
In the second part of the evening, young talents from the Rostock University of Music and Drama will have the opportunity to share the stage with the Norddeutsche Philharmonie. What makes these cooperation concerts between the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the hmt Rostock so special is that the evening program, in which the solo artists demonstrate their skills in front of an audience, is the result of joint lessons between the students and the experienced musicians.
