This year's organ festival in Mechow is dedicated to pipes of all kinds. The organ pipes of the now 110-year-old Grüneberg organ will enter into a dialog and contrast with the [hanse]Pfeyfferey ensemble. There will be a changing concert - in the church, in the churchyard and from the tower! The [hanse]Pfeyfferey embodies music that was part of everyday life and festivities in the 15th and 16th centuries and gives it a place in the present. In the tradition of the once ubiquitous town pipers, Renaissance music is played on the slide trumpet, trombone, cornett, shawm and pommer. The ensemble of Alexandra Mikheeva, Laura Dümpelmann and Lilli Pätzold, which was founded in Bremen, joins forces with Klaus Eichhorn on the organ to create a program rich in sound for this event. In keeping with tradition, we will end the afternoon together with food and drink in the churchyard. Contributions to the buffet are welcome. Admission on departure - donations are requested!
