Open singing on the Day of German Unity
Thursday, October 3, marks the 35th anniversary of the Day of German Unity. As in the previous year, the official celebrations will not focus on politicians, but on all fellow human beings, and instead of grand speeches, the music will speak by singing together. There will be singing in around 200 German towns and villages throughout Germany on the evening of October 3. Rügen will also be taking part, with an event at 6 p.m. in front of Sagarder Kirche, August-Bebel-Straße. In the event of bad weather or windy conditions, the event will take place in the spacious church.
