Garden by Dr. Bettina Klein

Hessenburg Estate Park

Hessenburg Manor Park was laid out around 1840, incorporating older trees. Following a simplified rural, former baroque pattern, the central visual axis dominates, with exotic trees on either side guiding the view into the distance; ditches and the Saaler stream border the 4.5 hectares. Wide avenues of winter lime trees, a park pond with a huge weeping willow, a viewing hill and a lime arbor set the tone. Children can play on the "I'm going to be a crane" educational and play trail.
