Music film, talk and concert with Johanna Seim
The music documentary From soil to soul shows how music makers find themselves in a creative process. How a place, a garden, shared meals, people and instruments intertwine in this process. The musicians Marianna and Johanna take a playful approach to centuries-old Norwegian Hardanger fiddle traditions and shed new light on this music. Together with the gardener Ana, they reflect on the need for contact with nature, the urge to create something of their own and express themselves, and the desire for community and liveliness.
