After the great success of ROMEO and JULIA last spring, we can once again look forward to a guest performance by Neubrandenburg's Lessing Gymnasium in the auditorium of the Lower Castle this year.

SPRING AWAKENINGis an emotional and powerful musical that tells the story of young people in late 19th century Germany. It is about the discovery of one's own sexuality, the pursuit of freedom and resistance against a restrictive society. With modern music that perfectly reflects the feelings of the characters, the musical deals with themes such as rebellion, misunderstandings and the tragic consequences of oppression.

SPRING AWAKENING touches, touches and makes you think - a gripping journey through the highs and lows of youth. The musical is an adaptation of Frank Wedekind's play written in 1891, which has lost none of its topicality and poignancy in its description of growing up.
