Kalkhorst Castle opens its doors and gates for the first time for the MidsummerRemise on June 21 and 22 from 11 am to 5 pm.
The castle is nestled in an English landscape park that exudes tranquillity. The Kalkhorst estate in Klützer Winkel belonged to the Knights of Both. The foundation stone for today's castle was laid in 1853 by the builder Thomson von Biel. Today it has been renovated and already serves as a venue for art and artists, as an event and wedding location and as a place for retreats and seminars. It offers sleeping space for 10 people.
