The summer stately greet: The night of the north manor and mansions - The Pomeranian houses open their gates on Sunday
"One of the most magnificent examples of landscape beautification and improvements in horticulture in recent times was produced by Herr von Behr-Negendank at Semlow..." was how Ferdinand Jühlke, later Royal Court Garden Director in Potsdam-Sanssouci, described the Semlow manor house grounds in 1858. Even though this statement was made a long time ago, the 22-hectare park has essentially been preserved, which is why you will hardly find anything comparable in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In spring, it enchants visitors with a carpet of snowdrops, wild crocuses and anemones. Throughout the year, an extensive network of paths provides wonderful views of the castle from a variety of directions. Today, it still houses a large banqueting hall, the municipal library, a permanent exhibition on the history of Semlow, the registry office and club rooms, making it, like the park, fully accessible to the public. Thus, in the summer of 2011, the first "dream wedding" took place in the open air directly on Love Island.
