A pop song reading with Tilla Kratochwil and Martin Karl freely adapted from Robert Seethaler
When 16-year-old Biene runs away from her Catholic girls' home, she is pretty lost at first until the washed-up rock'n'roller Kurt picks her up on a country road and gives her refuge in his rattling, shiny "Heartbreakin'" mobile.
"Heartbreakin`" mobile. From then on, the highly unlikely pair travel through the provinces together, from one abstruse situation to the next. They are amazed to discover that it is not only love that strikes in the most unusual places.
A road movie of great emotions. Longing provides the live soundtrack. A string of lights, two voices, a few instruments - and off they go!
Tilla Kratochwil studied at the HfS "Ernst Busch" Berlin, worked at the Theaterhaus Jena and has been freelancing since 2002. She has acted in both permanent and independent theaters. Also works for film, radio and television, as well as a director and lecturer.
Martin Karl trained at the WEITEn THEATER and has been a permanent freelance ensemble member there since 1999. Believes in the good in people and in good theater, enjoys changing strings & loves monophony almost as much as harmonic-dissonant two-three polyphony.
