Mozart: Adagio and Fugue, Hummel: Bassoon Concerto, Rossini: String Sonata, Bartok: Divertimento. Bram van Sambeek (bassoon), Arndt Auhagen (conductor)
The Kammerphilharmonie Hamburg is an ensemble that is characterized by its self-reliance and continuous development. The ensemble is made up of highly qualified musicians, some of whom have known each other since their student days and most of whom now play in renowned orchestras. Despite their main venues throughout Europe, they come together every year in their free time in the summer in northern Germany to make music entirely according to their own ideas. In doing so, they manage to share their passion for dedicated music-making with the new members who join them.
Soloists and conductors often came from their own ranks. But when they asked someone else of note, they were rarely turned down due to their well-known playing culture.
The concerts of the Kammerphilharmonie Hamburg are characterized by a palpable, intensive engagement with the content of the works performed and offer the highest level of artistic quality. The friendly atmosphere within the orchestra promotes cooperation and makes a decisive contribution to the ensemble's success. The performances of the Kammerphilharmonie Hamburg are always among the acclaimed highlights of the Schönberg Music Summer!
