Juli Schupa / Concrete Artworks - Pictures from, on and with concrete
Inspired by concrete and industrial buildings as well as her affinity for street and graffiti art on old, dirty walls and empty houses, the idea of creatively connecting these parallel but often loose ends matured.
For Juli Schupa, the background is just as important as the motif. Starting from this, her pictures develop in many iterations, in - and literally through - countless grinding, applying, connecting and separating. July's works are both image and relief, mostly relying on classical forms and yet also abandoning these conventions.
