Concert
Bach's Passion music was forgotten for a long time after his death. It was not until the Romantic period that they were remembered. Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy performed the St. Matthew Passion again for the first time in 1829 with the Berlin Singakademie, in an arrangement adapted to the taste of the Romantic period. This version will be performed at this year's Greifswald Bach Week.
