Jazz service with pastor as part of the 23rd Ahrenshoop Jazz Festival
Uwe Murek (sax), Benjamin Jäger (p, or)
The Rostock musicians Uwe Murek (saxophone) and Benjamin Jäger (organ) bring their passion for church music to the concert. Arrangements of classical compositions, film music, jazz standards and church chorales characterize the performances of this special instrumental combination. Uwe Murek has decades of experience both as a stage saxophonist and as a teacher. After years as a research chemist, Benjamin Jäger has shifted his focus to church music and develops his skills as a cantor, organist, composer and arranger in the inner city parish of Rostock. Jazz is particularly close to both of their hearts, and so well-known pieces and songs are given a new, sometimes groovy, sometimes lyrical guise.
Admission with the jazz flag (from 18 years) for all concerts in the village, on four days
The jazz flag entitles you to attend all concerts of the 22nd Ahrenshooper Jazzfest with the exception of the concerts on the main stage in Eva's summer garden.
For the concerts on the main stage, a one-way ticket or a festival ticket must be purchased, in which the jazz flag is included.
