Season opening in the historic tile pottery

International Museum Day takes place on May 19 this year. Celebrate with us and visit the Teschenberg Tile Pottery, which will once again be opening its doors to visitors on this day. The historic production building will kick off the new season with a colorful afternoon program.

From 1 p.m., you can (re)discover the stoves on display and numerous tiles from different eras. Guided tours of the building will explain how stove tiles were made here over 100 years ago. Enjoy coffee and cake and experience the popular raku firing again, in which small clay figures with an unusual surface are created. The original figurines by ceramicist Franz Poppe will be auctioned off afterwards. There will be creative activities for children.

Admission is free.
