Violin meets saxophone quartet
The very first prizewinner in residence at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival meets the current one! Daniel Hope took on the role that shaped the festival summer in 2006; now it is held by the SIGNUM saxophone quartet, which had just been founded that year. However, this is not the first time that the violinist and the saxophone quartet have met; their collaboration has already proven its worth. The artists will perform an exciting, unique musical combination! In the monastery and castle grounds of Dargun and in the Bleckede castle courtyard, concert guests can look forward to a summer evening with well-known compositions, modern minimalist works and improvisations on world music by Ravi Shankar.
