Guitar - Roger Tristao Adao

Variations on a theme by Mozart and other pieces for classical guitar

The concert will feature music by Mozart, Fernando Sor, Isaac Albeniz, Enrique Granados and Francisco Tarrega. In the first part of the concert, Roger Tristao Adao will present his new CD with music by the Spaniard Fernando Sor. Works from the Mozart era, such as the Mozart Variations and the Grand Solo, will form the focus of this half of the concert. The second half will feature Spanish dances from the 19th and early centuries by Francisco Tarrega, Isaac Albeniz and Enrique Granados. These originally improvised dances found their way into classical music through the arrangement of the compositions. They are through-composed masterpieces that have lost none of the rhythmic power and original magic of Spanish folk music. The tension of this contrasting program ranges from delicate melancholy to fiery rhythms. The audience is guided through the program by brief explanations.
