It's Grandpa Franz's birthday and because he likes music, the two musicians serenade him together with the children. Mrs. Gärtner has baked a delicious cake and she has a secret, but of course we can't reveal it here. It could be a really nice birthday party if it weren't for the janitor, the unmusical Mr. Kahl.
"Grandpa's Birthday" is a clever and funny mixture of play, puppet show and musical.
