Exclusively on the Whitsun weekend, the Rose woodturning workshop from Eggesin opens its "Gallery in the Barn" in Hintersee for three days.
Kunst-Hand-Dreh-Werk is wood from the lathe for the eye and hand. This means that great importance is attached to contemporary design and quality of work. The majority of the products on display are made from local precious woods and are intended for use. Creativity and a constant stream of new ideas are the key to a varied range of products, which is something of a rarity.
Visit the only master woodturner in Western Pomerania in Hintersee and be enchanted by the masterful products of this beautiful craft, which is thousands of years old.
The farm café is open on all three days. Freshly baked cakes, healthy bread, homemade lard, tea and coffee will delight you. A tombola with prizes from our own range will make you want to take part.
PS: The workshop store at the Drechslerei in Eggesin is open all year round outside of Kunst:Offen, regularly from Monday to Wednesday. Here you can choose from an extensive, high-quality range. We look forward to receiving your inquiry in advance by phone, WhatsApp or email.
PPS: On the Saturday before the third Advent, Drechslerei Rose organizes an annual Advent market with an open day at the workshop in Eggesin. You are cordially invited from 13:00 - 17:00 to discover gifts with high sustainability value.
Claus Rose: Applied art
Amber jewelry, murals (wood)
Claus Rose discovered wood as a material in the mid-1970s. While he was initially enthusiastic about carving, woodturning became more and more important over time. It was not enough for him to pursue it as a hobby.
Training as a skilled worker and opening a woodturning workshop was the logical next step. In 2023, he can look back on 40 years as a master woodturner. He still enjoys his craft today.
In Hintersee, he exhibits wooden murals, amber jewelry and special boxes.
