Frank Peter Zimmermann is one of the leading violinists of our time. Praised for his unmistakable tone, deep musicality and keen intellect, he has worked with all the world's leading orchestras and renowned conductors for more than three decades. He is a regular guest soloist in all major concert halls in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. His discography is impressive, with recordings released by EMI Classics, Sony Classical, BIS, hänssler CLASSIC, Ondine, Decca, Teldec and ECM Records. He has recorded the almost complete concerto repertoire for violin from Bach to Ligeti. Many of his recordings have been showered with international awards. Zimmermann has received a number of important prizes and honors including the "Bundesverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse der Bundesrepublik Deutschland".

Zimmermann plays "Lady Inchiquin" by Antonio Stradivari (1711) on the violin.

Dmytro Choni "His art of phrasing, singing and toning, as well as his control of dynamics, transparency and, where appropriate, his stupendous virtuosity are outstanding. His playing therefore always exudes an aura of the highest artistic standards and the finest sensitivity." - Pizzicato

After two and a half weeks of top-class competition and exceptional music-making, Dmytro Choni won the bronze medal at the 16th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in June 2022. Prior to this, he had already attracted international attention by winning numerous top prizes and awards, including at the Paloma O'Shea Santander International Piano Competition (Spain, 2018), the Leeds International Piano Competition (UK, 2021) and the Bösendorfer USASU (USA, 2019). Despite these successes, Dmytro says: "For me, being successful means continuously growing as a musician and as a person and not stopping searching for the truth in music. In my opinion, the most important aspect is to love music wholeheartedly."

Recent and upcoming highlights include recital and chamber music debuts in Vienna (Konzerthaus and Musikverein), his recital debut at the Lucerne Festival, as well as in Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Hanover, a return to the Palau de la Música, Barcelona for a solo recital, numerous concerts in the USA, debuts with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, with duo recitals with cellist Julian Steckel.

In the 2024/25 season, he will give concerts with violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann in Munich, Milan and Papendorf, among others.
