The singer-songwriter duo Wandermüd tells of romance in the digital age. Nourished by jazz, art song and avant-pop, singer Winnie Brückner and cellist Susanne Paul create an orchestral sound, only to sound completely pure and chamber-musical again the next moment. They expand their instrumentarium with playful toys such as egg harp, canned banjo or hose trumpet and a pinch of Dadaism. They respectfully fan out enchanting pearls of classical song to make them sound fresh and contemporary. Artfully used loops, sound loops and effects enhance the atmospheric density of their music. In their songs, they sing stories of coffee machines and fly philosophy, of guests and palaces and the ticking of the clock.
