How much romance is there in contemporary art?
Romanticism celebrates emotion, people's desires and a greater power to which we all have to submit. The Enlightenment declares facts to be the only reality. Uniting these schools of thought from both eras allows for a combination of analysis and emotion. This exhibition explores the concept of Romanticism and aims to find out how contemporary artists look at Romanticism today and what remains of this era in us. Can AI be nature? Do we know more when we are "in feeling"? And does an awareness of nature help us to recognize our living space as finite? With Caspar David Friedrich through the year 2024 - we'll be there!
