From James Last to Ricky Martin
The idea of founding this big band came about relatively early (around 2002). It was born out of the knowledge that there is a strong demand for orchestral or big band entertainment music. It was also a special challenge for the band's founder, Olaf Zunk, to devote himself to this music at some point in his musical life. Swing standards in the style of "Happy Polka" (James Last) or Sentimental Journey are just as much a part of the program as "Black Is Black" (Los Bravos) or "Livin' La Vida Loca" (Ricky Martin).
The 3 to 5 wind players (trumpets, saxophone or clarinet) play together with a proven rhythm section. The audience is extremely receptive to the music and is fully involved as the musicians can move freely thanks to the latest technology.
The successes at the various performances are proof that the colleagues have taken the right path. Whether at the Hanse Sail, at performances at the IGA or at the many spa concerts on the big stages of our country, the audience reaction was very positive everywhere. A first television appearance took place in 2005 on ZDF. The first album was released in 2006.
