Sports, fun and games for the whole family
Visitors to the beach festival, both young and old, can let off steam on a bouncy castle, do a puzzle on the rules of swimming, try out rescue equipment or learn first-aid techniques.
They can also experience the effects of good sun protection.
At each beach festival, up to 1,000 blue NIVEA beach balls are distributed to visitors. With a flash mob, the beach is briefly transformed into a blue sea under the guidance of the DLRG team, before everyone who takes part gets to take home a souvenir.
Every summer, the tour makes a guest appearance in selected German seaside resorts on the North Sea and Baltic Sea coasts, one afternoon at a time. More than 100 DLRG volunteers invest their vacation time to provide families with information about water and the sun and the work of the DLRG in this way.
All events take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.*.
