Sophie's POP-UP-CAFÉ & CYANOTYPIE workshop with graphic artist Anka Büchler in Klocksin Manor Park
Cyanotype, also known as blue printing, is one of the oldest noble printing processes in photography. It is based on the light sensitivity of iron salts and produces an unmistakable, intense blue hue. Paper, fabric or wood can also be used as an image carrier.
In this workshop, we will make use of the beauty of nature and create small works of art using paper printing. To do this, we will collect flowers, grasses, leaves and other exciting natural materials together in the estate park. We then arrange our finds on the prepared photographic paper and expose them to sunlight (UV light). The picture is then developed with water, fixed and hung up to dry.
No previous artistic or photographic knowledge is required. The workshop is ideal as an introduction to this experimental printing process and is also suitable for children aged 6 and over. Please bring work clothes/apron and rubber gloves.
30 euros per person incl. materials (children 20 euros)
Please send your binding registration by e-mail to info@bluhmsdelikat.de
The course is subject to a minimum of 10 participants.
