His current solo program "Über Land Fahrt" is a collection of impressions that has grown over the years, from quirky characters to rattling train journeys, from groundless celebrations to the search for one's own roots. In addition to songs he has written himself, his repertoire also includes settings or "rewritten" traditional songs. Although you can hear the wild Balkans, pubs on the Atlantic or the dance music of the Appalachians in his music, it is still based on local tradition. One of the reasons is the musical tools. All the pieces were written and arranged for the Thuringian forest zither and therefore have a distinctive musical style and a high degree of authenticity. The Waldzither allows for an enormous range of styles, which the multi-instrumentalist has often adapted from other instruments. This ranges from delicate arpeggios and virtuoso picking to rough bottleneck passages.
