WorldJazz with guitar and trombone
Matthias Ehrig (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, stompbox) and Andreas Uhlmann (trombone, flugelhorn, glockenspiel, beatbox, synthesizer) are "Mehr Als Wir". The band name is a promise. Using loop techniques and clever arrangements, the two musicians create an unexpectedly full band sound. Stylistically, "Mehr Als Wir" realize a mixture of pop, jazz, EDM and acoustic world music. Despite various detours into the serious side of life, the band's music is simply a joy to listen to. The songs are full of twists and surprises. Like pictures on photographic paper in a darkroom, their songs evolve - to stay. "Mehr Als Wir" make instrumental music. Not without telling the - sometimes opulent - stories underlying the pieces at their concerts and painting them acoustically.
