CONEXIÓN- De Cerca performs emotional and rousing classics from the Cuban and South American repertoire in a modern, urban and always danceable sound. All band members are well-known experts in their field and have dedicated themselves body and soul to Cuban and Latin American music. The singer Mayelis and her excellent musicians from Cuba and Germany have been a well-rehearsed team for years and are a passionate explosion on stage.
With the music of CONEXIÓN - De Cerca, you can experience the relaxed attitude to life and the soundtrack of the cafés and bars of Old Havana authentically and purely. Mayelis' Caribbean-feminine vocals are framed by the rhythmic-melodic playing of the piano and the soft, pulsating sound of the congas.
CONEXIÓN - De Cerca will conclude the monastery festival on July 20 at 5 p.m. in the monastery's nunnery garden with the line-up Mayelis Guyat (Cuba, lead vocals), Daniel Stawinski (piano, vocals) from Germany, Ernesto Zamora Rojas (flute, vocals, percussion) from Cuba and Hardi Barnewold (congas, percussion) from Germany.
In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the church.
