World Music, Dance,Party & Disco

The fiery rock'n'roll band Rekkiabilly from Apulia conjures up an incomparable blend of sounds that creates an authentic vintage vibe through an urban compositional style. Their songs are written and sung in Italian, without censorship of the local dialect or slang. Rekkiabilly delivers a rousing musical experience with lyrics as honest as homemade wine.

The group was founded in 2005 from the creative talents of singer-songwriter and guitarist Dario Mattoni and saxophonist Lidia Bitetti and has since exported its unmistakable swing/rockabilly sound throughout Europe. After a few experimental phases, Rekkiabilly recently strengthened itself with an explosive brass quartet. Rekkiabilly has already shared the stage with artists such as Jon Spencer, Après la Classe, Giuliano Palma & the Bluebeaters, NewYork Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Vinicio Capossela, Max Gazzè, Banda Bardò, Folkabbestia, Punkreas, Michele Zarrillo, Arisa and many others.

The band has played on some of the most prestigious stages in Europe, including Micca Club (Rome), Bloom (Milan), White Trash and Road Runner (Berlin), Sean McD's (Dublin), Kaf Fur Dik (Zurich). They have also performed at high profile festivals all over Italy, such as Gipsyland, Rock'n'Roll Party in Erchie, DB Music Zone in Terni, Rockabilly Festival in Viareggio, Rocket Rockabilly Festival in Rome and many others. They have also performed at the Sziget Festival (Budapest), FIMU (Belfort) and Hutball (Dresden).
