The Camerata Chernigiv is a renowned chamber orchestra known for its virtuoso interpretations of classical music.
The chamber orchestra was founded by Volodymyr Sukhoverskyi and Ortwin Benninghoff. The permanent basis of the orchestra consists of the string ensemble and timpani (percussion); wind players are brought in depending on the programs played. However, it is always the same musicians who play together with the strings. The symphonic instrumentation makes it possible to play orchestral music up to classical level. The string orchestra focuses on music from the late Romantic and modern periods.
